National Park, Abruzzo, Italy
This is a personal project that I will probably continue to develop. The images that follow represent, in some way, the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park. I say “in some way” because they are my representation of it. I began photographing here in 2022 and, over these years, the entire park seems to have transformed before my eyes: as time passes, I notice more and more details—specific wooded areas and trees, colours and shapes; the forest grows, moves, evolves.
And so do I.
The trees I photograph each have their own personality. The light that strikes them reveals their character, while still preserving their intimate nature; for this reason, when I photograph them, I somehow have to align myself with it. When this doesn’t happen, I return at another time, with a different mood.
The passing of the seasons is something we are slowly becoming unaccustomed to, especially for those who, like me, grew up in the city. Colours change, sounds shift, even the air carries a different weight. In this continual transformation, time marks its rhythms not only through our daily obligations—something within us starts working again. Like a clock that begins to tick once more.
These shots are small scenes within a grand landscape. They capture the details of a panorama, the textures. An attempt to capture a single note from an entire symphony. What is most intimate for me at that moment, in front of nature.
I hope that we will begin to reconsider our role in preserving all of this.

Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo, Italia
Questo è un progetto personale che probabilmente continuerò a sviluppare. Le immagini che seguono rappresentano in qualche modo il Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise. Dico “in qualche modo” perché sono la mia rappresentazione del parco. Ho iniziato a fotografare qui nel 2022 e, nel corso di questi anni, l’intero parco sembra essersi trasformato davanti ai miei occhi: con il passare del tempo noto sempre più dettagli—particolari zone boschive e alberi, colori e forme; la foresta cresce, si muove, evolve.
E così anch’io.
Gli alberi che fotografo hanno una propria personalità. La luce che li colpisce rivela il loro carattere, pur mantenendone la natura intima; per questo quando li fotografo, in qualche modo, devo allinearmi ad esso. Quando questo non accade, ritorno in un altro momento, con un altro umore.
Il passare delle stagioni è qualcosa a cui ci stiamo lentamente disabituando, soprattutto per chi, come me, è cresciuto in città. I colori cambiano, i suoni si trasformano, perfino l'aria ha un peso diverso. In questo mutare, il tempo scandisce i ritmi non soltanto sulla base dei nostri impegni quotidiani, qualcosa in noi torna a funzionare. Come un orologio che ricomincia a ticchettare.
Questi scatti sono piccole scene all’interno di un grande paesaggio. Catturano i dettagli di un panorama, le sue texture. Un tentativo di cogliere una singola nota da un’intera sinfonia. Ciò che per me è più intimo in quel momento, di fronte alla natura.
Spero che inizieremo a riconsiderare il nostro ruolo nel preservare tutto questo.
